Aune AR9000 is the company's flagship open-back over-ear headphones, built around a specially developed 50 mm dynamic driver and an acoustic architecture inspired by high-end speakers. The result is a natural, detailed and dynamic presentation with a soundstage that feels open and spacious without losing weight in the bass.
The diaphragm is an omni-stack carbon diaphragm (OSCD) with a continuous long-fiber structure without cross-weave or breaks, stacked at precise angles and heat-treated by zone for optimal damping. Its specific stiffness surpasses that of conventional ceramic, metal and coated polymer diaphragms, delivering unusually clean and detailed reproduction. Drive comes from a patented linear magnetic circuit with constant flux, which, with up to 4 mm of linear excursion, provides ample dynamic headroom and sub-bass you can feel in your body.
The suspension is a new system made of ultra-damping material with asymmetrical variable thickness and radial reinforcements, damping resonances and dynamic compression for ideal, piston-like diaphragm movement. Behind the diaphragm is a patented acoustic absorption and diffusion structure with precisely calculated open and closed cavities, which smooths the midrange and treble and creates a more spacious soundstage.
With 43 ohms of impedance and 102 dB sensitivity, the AR9000 is easy to drive and works well directly from a portable DAC, but rewards a better stationary setup with clearly greater performance. The cable is a 1.6 m OCC cable with silver plating and interchangeable connectors, and the hard case is included in the box.
