Aune X8 XVIII is a small powerhouse and has solid performance in a small unit that handles high-resolution formats and has a balanced signal path onward to your devices for the best sound quality. It uses proprietary FPGA technology and supports music up to PCM768 / DSD512 (USB) 384K / DSD512 (COAX). The X8 can be used as a pure DAC for your preamp, but can also act as a preamp itself since it has a variable output, and as mentioned, here we also find the balanced TRS output.
