Chord Electronics Mojo 2 (-2026) - Compact Digital-to-Analog Converter & Headphone Amplifier
Mojo 2 is an exceptionally well-built, ultracompact headphone amplifier/DAC, developed with a powerful, custom-coded FPGA processor for class-leading detail and clarity up to studio quality. It is hand-built in the UK with a CNC-milled aircraft-grade aluminum chassis and features unique technologies such as the world’s first lossless DSP (UHD DSP) for advanced tone control without loss of quality.
Mojo 2 is primarily designed as a portable headphone amplifier/DAC, but is also suited to desktop use thanks to a feature called Desktop Mode. This lets you keep Mojo 2 connected to a wall outlet for continuous charging without damaging the battery, thanks to improved battery management with FPGA control, faster charging, 75% lower power loss, and 9% increased capacity.
4.4 mm headphone output In addition to a 3.5 mm output, the updated Mojo 2 now also has a 4.4 mm output. This means that even more headphones are now compatible with Mojo 2, including headphones up to 800 Ω. Another new feature is that each headphone output has its own volume control and DSP. This means that Mojo 2 remembers the settings for each output, making it easy to switch between two pairs of headphones with different settings. A new menu function, navigated via a fourth control sphere, provides access to mute, crossfeed, button lock, switchable USB-C charging, and tone adjustment.
USB-C charging Another new feature is that Mojo 2 can now be charged via USB-C. This makes it easier to use when connected to computers. Charging can be manually disabled if desired, and is automatically turned off when you connect Mojo 2 to mobile devices to avoid draining their batteries.
