Magnetar UDP-800 MKII is a universal high-performance Blu-ray player for both movies and music. It plays 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, SACD, DVD-Audio, and CD, combining reference-class picture quality with a premium analog audio section and Roon Ready network playback.
The second generation features redesigned audio boards with seven OPA1602 op-amps, improved HDMI audio processing with TMDS retiming to reduce jitter, and an optimized USB 3.0 system with isolated power supply. Two Burr-Brown PCM1795 D/A converters feed both balanced XLR outputs and standard RCA outputs.
With support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X, the player delivers a modern home theater experience. Via the separate HDMI audio output, up to 7.1-channel PCM or 5.1-channel DSD can be passed on in its original quality. For pure stereo and collectors of SACD and DVD-Audio, it is a capable source even in high-end systems.
