Magnetar UDP-900 MKII is the flagship, built for those who want the absolute best in both picture and sound. With dual ESS 9038PRO DACs, a new video processor, noise-dampened mechanics and a dual-layer aluminum chassis, it delivers reference-level performance in every respect.
The audio platform has two power supplies, one for the digital section and one for the analog section, for cleaner signal paths and lower noise. Dual ESS 9038PRO DACs provide resolution up to PCM 768 kHz and DSD512 via PC-USB, while the dedicated HDMI audio output features TMDS retiming that eliminates jitter. In addition to balanced XLR and gold-plated RCA outputs, there is a 7.1-channel pre-out for external home theater amplifiers.
The updated video processor provides optimized color, contrast and noise reduction, and the player handles UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, SACD, DVD-Audio and CD with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. UDP-900 MKII received the EISA Award 2025-2026.
