NuPrime Evolution DAC-2

NuPrime Evolution DAC-2 uses dual ESS Technology 32-bit DAC ESS9038Q2M to decode the left and right channels independently, enhancing channel separation and reducing overall noise. It supports nine digital inputs and two analog inputs for complete system flexibility. The power circuit uses C-Core transformers to meet the highest performance requirements in the NuPrime Evolution series. The PSRC IC chip provides sample rate up/down conversion from PCM 44.1kHz to PCM 768kHz and DSD64 to DSD512.

C-Core transformer and large capacitor bank

The filtered AC power is then supplied to the power supply, which uses C-Core transformers that have less magnetic flux than conventional ring-type transformers. The stainless steel enclosures for the power supply provide shielding to minimize interference from transformer noise affecting other sensitive circuits.

A large capacitor bank (approximately 60,000 uF) using specialized capacitors supplies the analog and digital circuits with abundant and stable power.

A reference-class preamplifier

The EVO DAC-2 includes a reference-class preamplifier that uses Nisshinbo Micro Devices operational amplifiers MUSES8820 and MUSES72320V electronic volume as its preamplifier circuit architecture. The MUSES8820 is optimized for advanced audio equipment and produces the finest sound quality. Furthermore, the MUSES72320 is a 2-channel electronic volume control designed with advanced circuits and layout for high-end audio applications. It features low noise and distortion characteristics and uses a resistor circuit for highly linear volume control. Together, these components make the EVO DAC-2 an exceptional preamplifier capable of producing high-quality sound that accurately captures nuances and details from the audio source.
