NuPrime SW Ultimate is a reference-class network switch, designed for music systems where every detail in the signal path matters. It sits between your router and your network-connected audio components, delivering a cleaner, more stable data signal to the streamer or network player.
At its heart is a Layer 3 switch with twelve gigabit ports, four of which are shared with optical SFP ports for fiber. NuPrime's own low-noise power supply with an AC filter and common-mode choke isolates the power from interference on the mains, while a 10 MHz TCXO clock keeps the clock signal clean with very low phase noise. There is an input for an external 10 MHz clock (BNC) with a switch, plus a ground terminal for those who want to connect a separate grounding box.
Ports 8 and 9 are prioritized and can be used when connecting two SW Ultimate units, for example to keep network traffic and audio separate. Everything is housed in a robust aluminum chassis with LED indicators for port status.
