Pro-Ject XA B

Pro-Ject XA B is an elegant acrylic turntable from the X series, where the focus is on pure sound quality rather than unnecessary features. The transparent acrylic chassis gives a light and ethereal impression – as if the technical components are floating on an invisible plate. "B" stands for Balanced and indicates support for True Balanced Connection, a professional technology that provides completely interference-free signal transmission and eliminates noise from cables and electronics.

With over 30 years of experience in acrylic turntables, the XA B combines the natural damping properties of acrylic with aluminum components to avoid overdamping. The result is a lively, dynamic, and detailed sound with perfect timing and depth.

What makes the XA B unique?

• True Balanced Connection – Factory-mounted Pick it PRO Balanced MM cartridge and 5P DIN output enable a fully balanced signal path without the need for an expensive MC cartridge. Perfect together with balanced phono stages like Phono Box S3 B or DS3 B.
• 10-inch aluminum tonearm – Solid construction with ultra-low friction bearings (4-point cardan), fully adjustable azimuth and VTA, as well as adaptive anti-skating that adjusts the force across the record.
• TPE-damped counterweight – Effectively reduces resonances.
• Heavy 1.7 kg aluminum platter – Precision balanced, anti-magnetic, and TPE-damped for stable rotation and better timing.
• Record Puck E – Included and uses weight for extra damping and improved sound depth.
• Acrylic chassis – Provides high internal damping and outstanding aesthetics, but balanced with aluminum to retain liveliness in the sound.
• Electronic speed switching – 33/45 RPM with sophisticated DC/AC generator for extremely stable speed (wow & flutter only 0.13% at 33 RPM).
