Supra LoRad 1.5 MK II

• Supra LoRad produces low magnetic fields, low electric and electromagnetic alternating fields, which produces low disturbances and low health impact (research shows that cell growth is affected by magnetic fields)

Emitted interfering fields are reduced by two techniques; partly the shield which reduces both emitted and surrounded disturbances and the cable's conductor which is spun with a steep pitch to reduce the inductance, which gives a low both outwardly directed and absorbed magnetic field. Especially RF (high-frequency radio frequencies) has a tendency to find its way into the sound system, which produces a higher background noise (noise floor). You may think that the HiFi system's power supply is well protected by its transformer, but it often turns out that you chose a toroidal transformer that is extra sensitive to RF transmission due to what is called stray capacitance. The best method is to connect your devices with Supra's Supra LoRad series of mains power into a protectively grounded wall socket.

The biggest difference with the mkII version is the Supra's unique semi-conductive nylon screen which is connected via a ground conductor. The shield provides better shielding, stronger flexural and tensile strength, as well as an often overlooked feature, low inherent microphonics. A cable that is exposed to external physical influence can introduce this in the form of disturbances in the signal. In tests, Supra LoRad has shown the lowest interference impact that has been measured. Supra LoRad mkII is tested and certified by Intertek in Sweden and meets the European safety standard HD21.5 S3.

NOTE! Supra LoRad must be connected to a protectively grounded wall socket in order for the shielding effect of the cable(s) as well as the filter and shielding of Supra LoRad connection strips to work.
