Supra Supra XL Annorum XLR is a speaker cable that Supra is proud to present as part of their 40th anniversary offer. This cable has been developed together with a renowned Swedish speaker designer who is known for his QLN speakers, among other things. The intention was to create a lead cable for internal wiring for speaker drivers and crossovers. During the development, Supra achieved such good performance that the idea of allowing the conductors to form a complete speaker cable came to life.
"What happens then when Supra XL Annorum XLR comes onto the scene, right in between these two? (Quadrax and Sword). Well, the short answer is that the newcomer is significantly better than Quadrax and is thus also much closer to Sword in performance... The construction is a 4 x 1.6 mm2 conductor configuration, where each conductor consists of a plastic core around 12 strands of 5N oxygen-free copper spun in a tight pitch. This effectively minimizes skin effect and inductance and by choosing the acoustically favorable PP as dielectric (insulation), the acoustic stability, by preventing corrosion and material fatigue, will remain at the highest possible level year after year.
