What does this mean and why does TAGA Harmony use this method?
Hybrid means a combination of two different technologies to create an amplifier in one and the same unit: the world of tubes and the world of transistors.
TAGA Harmony amplifiers use vacuum tubes in the preamplifier section and transistors in the power stage. This results in a soft and analog sound character and at the same time high dynamics and power from transistors, which is usually a weak point in pure tube designs.
The sound from TAGA Harmony hybrid amplifier is not only silky smooth and full, but also powerful and dynamic. In addition, compared to pure tube amplifiers, hybrid amplifiers have a better ability to drive different types of speakers correctly.
After a hybrid amplifier is switched on, the tubes must be warmed up to reach its full sonic capacity - this usually takes between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the model and room temperature.
