With TAV-S, the goal was to create an eye-catching speaker with really good sound, at the budget price that is the hallmark of the Audio-Video series.
As always, the focus was on extensive listening tests and sound tuning rather than perfect figures on paper, because music and sound are about emotion and passion. The result is a speaker with well-controlled, clearly defined bass, a smooth, rich midrange, detailed, crystal-clear treble and a very open, airy soundstage, which is essential for both stereo sound and multichannel music and movies.

Main features and new additions compared to the previous generation
- Second-generation TLIE-I enclosure (Taga Low Interference Enclosure) with a stiffer construction that limits unwanted resonances: thicker 18 mm MDF front baffle (previously 15 mm).
- New, high-quality damping material in the enclosure breaks up standing waves more effectively, reduces resonances, and limits distortion, resulting in more even sound across all registers.
- New TAGA Harmony emblem on the front, elegant and expressing the pursuit of perfect harmony in sound.
- Upgraded tweeter with a 1" (25 mm) silk dome, extra-large Φ70 magnet, ferrofluid cooling, and a powerful copper voice coil. It can handle high power and reproduces sound with great accuracy, clarity, smoothness, detail, and airiness.
- Second-generation TWG-I tweeter plate (Taga WaveGuide): a horn-like design with concave diffusers that distribute sound evenly both straight ahead and to the sides. In the new version, the shape and depth have been redesigned for better airflow and even wider dispersion, resulting in a more three-dimensional and natural soundstage. Fewer parts also make for a stiffer construction, lower distortion, and fewer resonances.
- Upgraded 4" (102 mm) woofer/midrange driver: an ultra-light polypropylene cone with a flexible rubber surround allows fast movement, delivering a smooth, full, and very natural midrange, as well as good bass. The powerful voice coil and Φ70 magnet can withstand high temperatures and high power. The flat dust cap improves airflow and smooths the frequency response.
- Wall mount: the included wall mount makes it quick and easy to mount the speaker on a wall or other surface.
