The new generation of the Audio-Video series is not an evolution of its predecessors - it is a completely new approach to design and sound for this line. Audio-Video has been a leader in its price group for years, offering sound at affordable prices. The design, materials, and sound quality of this generation of Audio-Video further strengthen its position as a value-for-money choice.
With the TAV-807C, the goal was to create an eye-catching center speaker with really great sound at the budget price that is the hallmark of the Audio-Video series.
As always, the focus was on extensive listening tests and sound tuning rather than perfect figures on paper, because music and sound are about emotions and passion. The result is a center speaker with a smooth, full-bodied midrange, detailed and crystal-clear treble, and a very open, airy soundstage, so important for multichannel music and movies.
With its detailed, full-bodied treble and open, natural midrange, the TAV-807C is perfect for movie sound and multichannel music, with lifelike dynamics and clarity.
The TAV-807C proudly carries on the legacy of its predecessors and shows that the Audio-Video series is one of the best-value speaker purchases ever!
Key features and new developments compared with the previous generation
- Second-generation TLIE-I enclosure (Taga Low Interference Enclosure) with a stiffer construction that limits unwanted resonances: thicker 18 mm MDF front baffle.
- New high-quality cabinet damping material better breaks up standing waves, reduces resonances, and limits distortion, resulting in more balanced sound across all frequencies.
- New TAGA Harmony emblem on the front, elegant and an expression of the pursuit of perfect harmony in sound.
- Upgraded tweeter with a 1" (25 mm) silk dome, extra-large Φ70 magnet, ferrofluid cooling, and heavy-duty copper voice coil. It handles high power and reproduces sound with exceptional accuracy, clarity, smoothness, detail, and openness.
- Second-generation TWG-I tweeter plate (Taga WaveGuide): a horn-like design with concave diffusers that spread sound evenly both forward and to the sides. In the new version, the shape and depth have been redesigned for better sound flow and even wider dispersion, creating a more three-dimensional and natural soundstage. Fewer parts also make the construction stiffer, with lower distortion and fewer resonances.
- Upgraded 5.25" (133 mm) woofer/midrange drivers: an ultra-light polypropylene cone with a flexible rubber surround enables fast movement and a smooth, rich and very natural midrange. The heavy-duty voice coil and Φ70 magnet withstand high temperatures and high power. The flat dust cap improves airflow and smooths the frequency response.
- Wall brackets: the included wall brackets make it quick and easy to mount the speaker on a wall or other surface.
