TAGA TAV-807F

The new-generation Audio-Video series is not an evolution of its predecessors - it is a completely new approach to design and sound for this lineup. Audio-Video has been a leader in its price category for years, offering sound at affordable prices. The design, materials and sound quality of this Audio-Video generation further strengthen its position for value.

NOTE! Price is per pair.

The TAV-807F is the series' flagship floorstanding speaker and delivers premium sound for the money, both in stereo and in multichannel systems, which is the hallmark of the Audio-Video series.

As always, the focus was on extensive listening tests and sound tuning rather than perfect figures on paper, because music and sound are all about emotion and passion. The result is speakers with deep, well-controlled and clearly defined bass, a smooth, rich midrange and detailed, crystal-clear treble, along with a very open and airy soundstage.

The TAV-807F stands out with detailed, rich sound from its silk-dome tweeter, open and natural midrange from a new 6.5-inch midrange driver, and deep, lively bass from two large 8-inch woofers.

The TAV-807F proudly carries on the legacy of its predecessors and proves that the Audio-Video series is one of the best speaker values ever!

Key features and new additions compared with the previous generation

• Second-generation TLIE-I cabinet (Taga Low Interference Enclosure) with a stiffer construction that limits unwanted resonance: thicker 21 mm MDF front baffle (previously 15 mm) and additional internal bracing.
• Larger internal volume (the cabinet depth has increased from 30 to 34 cm) for better bass.
• The top of the cabinet slopes backward by about 4 degrees, further limiting unwanted resonance and turbulence.
• All-new nylon feet with aluminum spikes.
• The feet are unusually stiff and sturdy and almost completely isolate the speakers from the floor. This delivers more transparent sound and bass with better definition and control.
• The elegant, discreet design of the feet is based on those of the premium Platinum v.3 series. You can choose to use the feet with spikes or use only the spikes.
• New high-quality damping material in the cabinet better breaks up standing waves, reduces resonances and limits distortion, resulting in more even sound across all registers.
• New TAGA Harmony emblem on the front, elegant and expressing the pursuit of perfect harmony in sound.
• Upgraded tweeter with a 1" (25 mm) silk dome, extra-large Φ70 magnet, ferrofluid cooling and a heavy-duty copper voice coil. It handles high power and reproduces sound with exceptional accuracy, clarity, smoothness, detail and openness.
• Second-generation TWG-I tweeter plate (Taga WaveGuide): a horn-like design with concave diffusers that spread sound evenly both forward and to the sides. In the new version, the shape and depth have been redesigned for better sound flow and even wider dispersion, creating a more three-dimensional and natural soundstage. Fewer parts also result in a more rigid construction, lower distortion and fewer resonances.
• New 6.5" (165 mm) midrange driver: a larger, stiffer and ultra-light polypropylene cone with an elastic rubber surround delivers fast response and a smooth, rich and highly natural midrange. The heavy-duty voice coil and Φ80 magnet handle high temperatures and high power. The flat dust cap improves airflow and smooths the frequency response.
• Upgraded dual 8" (203 mm) woofers: ultra-light polypropylene cone with elastic rubber surround, Φ100 magnet, heavy-duty voice coil and a more rigid basket. The drivers handle higher power and longer playing time without heating up, and deliver deeper, more musical and accurate bass. The flat dust cap improves airflow and smooths the frequency response.
