Flexible placement and elegant design
The Cinema S2 is designed to fit in any environment, even where placement options are limited. The angled front baffle directs sound optimally toward the listening position, whether the speaker is mounted on a wall, ceiling, or placed on top of an XTZ Cinema M6 for Atmos effect via ceiling reflection. Recessed threads on the back and bottom, together with the separate Flushmount Kit, allow easy and stable mounting at various angles. The irregular HDF construction minimizes internal resonances and provides a timeless, compact appearance. The speaker is available in an anti-reflective polyurethane lacquer with eight layers, in black or matte white finish, which reduces reflections from projectors and gives an elegant look. The magnet-mounted front grille can be easily removed for a clean look.

Advanced coaxial driver for superior sound
The heart of the Cinema S2 is a unique coaxial driver, where a 16 mm soft dome tweeter is placed in the center of a 5.25-inch bass/midrange driver. This provides a point-source sound reproduction without phase shift, ensuring uniform dispersion regardless of listening angle. The light yet stiff diaphragm, made of long-fiber pulp with a special coating, is combined with a powerful magnet in a cast aluminum "high-flow" basket. The result is high power handling, dynamics, and precision, even at extreme sound pressure levels, with a sound character that matches the XTZ Cinema S5 and M6. The bass cone acts as a horn for the tweeter, increasing sensitivity and providing controlled dispersion – perfect for both near-field listening and full-bodied sound throughout the room.

Optimized crossover filter and high-quality components
The Cinema S2's crossover filter is carefully developed with high-quality components such as air-wound coils, MKP capacitors, and low-inductance resistors. A 2nd order filter ensures optimal balance between frequency response, power handling, and low distortion, delivering a clean and detailed sound reproduction.

Convenient cable management and connection
The recessed, gold-plated terminal on the back guarantees maximum signal transfer and is compatible with both bare wires and banana plugs. An integrated cable channel hides cables during wall mounting for a clean and professional installation.
