XTZ SUB 10.17 Edge is an advanced subwoofer based on the well-known SUB 10.17 and takes performance to the next level. With the latest ICEpower® technology, this subwoofer delivers an impressive power of 700 W RMS and up to 1045 W peak power, providing outstanding control, precision, and deep bass for both home theater and music playback.

High-performance driver from the XTZ Cinema series

SUB 10.17 Edge is equipped with a 10-inch high-speed driver inspired by the award-winning XTZ Cinema series. The driver is made of extremely light and rigid materials, ensuring fast response, high precision, and maximum power. This results in bass reproduction that is both dynamic and detailed, perfect for reproducing everything from subtle musical nuances to explosive sound effects in movies.

Flexible sound customization

SUB 10.17 Edge offers extensive possibilities to tailor the sound to your needs and the room's acoustics. The built-in DSP processor and parametric equalizer (PEQ) allow fine-tuning of frequencies between 30 Hz and 120 Hz with an SPL adjustment from -9 dB to +9 dB. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use measurement equipment such as the XTZ Room Analyzer II Pro to identify and compensate for the room's acoustic characteristics. 

The subwoofer has three EQ modes:

• EQ REF - Provides extended frequency response for the deepest bass, but caution should be taken to ensure that the lower frequencies are not overrepresented, which can result in a "slow" bass reproduction depending on the room's geometry, bass placement, and listening position.
  
• EQ1 - Is a direct countermeasure to a "slow" bass reproduction caused by the room's reverberation and thus overrepresented low bass. By raising the lower cutoff frequency, the bass will become more controlled.
  
• EQ 2 - Also provides more energy in the upper bass range, giving a more "punchy" and "fast" bass reproduction.

You can also adjust the bass reflex ports with the included foam plugs to change the bass character:

• Port tuning - high frequency - Without plugs in the ports, the subwoofer will provide a "fast" and "powerful" bass character. It will produce increased reproduction higher up in the frequency range.
  
• Port tuning - medium high frequency - If the left port on the subwoofer is blocked and the right port is open, this will provide bass with increased reproduction of medium high frequencies.
  
• Port tuning - low frequency - If the right port on the subwoofer is blocked and the left port is open, this will provide deep bass with increased reproduction in the lower frequencies.
  
• Sealed enclosure - With both ports blocked, the subwoofer works as a sealed enclosure, giving a dry and controlled bass character with a smooth roll-off.

SUB 10.17 Edge combines performance with sophisticated aesthetics. The cabinet is made of 25 mm MDF with extensive internal bracing to minimize resonances and ensure maximum stability. It is available in three color variants – matte black, high gloss black, and matte white – with a high-quality multi-layer paint that provides an exclusive finish. Rounded edges and a acoustically transparent front grille enhance the elegant appearance. On the back, there are gold-plated RCA and XLR inputs, making the subwoofer ideal for both home theater and professional studio environments.
