XTZ SUB 12.17 Edge is an advanced subwoofer that builds on the success of its predecessor, SUB 12.17, delivering outstanding performance for both home theater and music. With a newly developed class-D amplifier based on ICEpower® technology, this subwoofer offers an impressive 700 W RMS power and up to 1045 W peak power, making it a true powerhouse for deep and dynamic bass.

High-performance driver from the XTZ Cinema series

SUB 12.17 Edge is equipped with a 12-inch high-speed driver inspired by the acclaimed XTZ Cinema series. The driver is made from extremely lightweight yet rigid materials, ensuring high precision, fast response, and maximum efficiency. This delivers bass reproduction that is both powerful and detailed, perfect for capturing subtle nuances in music as well as explosive effects in movies.

Customizable sound experience

With advanced adjustment options, the SUB 12.17 Edge can be perfectly tailored to your room and preferences. The built-in DSP-based signal processor and adjustable parametric equalizer (PEQ) allow fine-tuning of the sound to compensate for room acoustics. By using tools like XTZ Room Analyzer II Pro, you can identify and balance frequency dips or peaks for an optimal listening experience.

The subwoofer also offers three EQ modes:

• EQ REF - Provides an extended frequency response for the deepest bass, but caution should be taken to ensure that the lower frequencies are not overrepresented, which can result in a "slow" bass reproduction depending on the room's geometry, bass placement, and listening position.

• EQ1 - Is a direct countermeasure to a "slow" bass reproduction caused by room reverberation and thus overrepresented low bass. By raising the lower cutoff frequency, the bass will become more controlled.

• EQ 2 - Also provides more energy in the upper bass range, resulting in a more "punchy" and "fast" bass reproduction.

Robust and elegant design

The SUB 12.17 Edge combines performance with sophisticated design. The cabinet is sturdily built with rounded edges and is available in matte black, high-gloss black, or matte white finish with high-quality multilayer paint. The acoustic front grille is both acoustically transparent and protects the driver without compromising sound quality. On the back, there are gold-plated RCA and XLR inputs, making the subwoofer compatible with both home theater and studio environments.

Flexible and user-friendly

With adjustable crossover frequency, phase, and volume, you can easily integrate SUB 12.17 Edge into your sound system. The amplifier features a 4 mm thick aluminum plate for increased stability and durability. The subwoofer is also equipped with a bypassable crossover filter, providing extra flexibility when used with external amplifiers.
